
Colson Baker (born April 22, 1990) is an American singer and rapper. He is also known as Machine Gun Kelly (MGK) as a songwriter, actor, and singer. Prior to signing with Bad Boy Records, Machine Gun Kelly (born April 22 in 1990) is popular for his hybrid style of alternative rock and hip hop. In 2012 He released Lace Up the first studio album. It reached number four on the US Billboard 200. It included his breakout single "Wild Boy", which was performed by Waka Flame. The albums he released in the second and third years, General Admission (2015) and Bloom (2017) had similarly successful commercial success. The latter also contained the hit song "Bad Things" (with Camila Cabello) and peaked at number 4 on the Billboard Hot 100. The fourth album, Hotel Diablo, was an rap-rock album. In 2020, Machine Gun Kelly's fifth album, Tickets to My Downfall (2020), was released. It was a departure from hip-hop and a move to pop punk. The single "My Ex's best friend" came out at the top spot on the Billboard 200. It was the first rock album that reached the top spot. It was followed up by Mainstream Sellout (2022) and saw him achieve the same commercial success. He has since appeared in the action thriller Nerve (2016) and the horror Bird Box (2018) and the comedy Big Time Adolescence in addition to the biopic The Dirt (both 2019).
