Sharon Yvonne Stone, born 10 March 1958 from Meadville (Pennsylvania) was the daughter of Dorothy Lawson, a former factory worker, and Joseph William Stone, a maker of tools and dies. Michael, Kelly, Patrick. She was one of the three siblings. Stone was considered academically gifted in her early years and entered the second grade when she was five. She graduated from Saegertown High School, located in Saegertown, Pennsylvania, in 1975. In addition, she competed in and won the Miss Pennsylvania beauty contest. Stone and her aunt in 1977, made the move to New Jersey for a modeling job. She signed with Ford Modeling Agency a week later. In Europe Stone spent a full year living in Milano as well as Paris. Stone, disillusioned at the fashion industry that was thriving in Europe began acting while living in Europe. She appeared at 20 in Woody Allen's "Stardust Memories," which received mixed praises.
