Aunjanue Ellis

Aunjanue A. Ellis Taylor, American actor and producer. She graduated with a BA in Brown University in African-American Studies. At the Tisch school of the arts, New York University she obtained an MFA. Aunjanue Ellis. Ellis, the American producer and actress who has been in the theater and television as well, is actively involved on both sides of the screen. Her stage debut was in the year 2000 and went onto appear in independent, mainstream and television series. She was known for appearing in the role of Miranda Shaw (ABC's Quantico) as well as in BET's massive The Book of Negroes. Both series received major praise from critics, and she also received a number of accolades. Her professional acting debut with the character Ariel on the stage in The Tempest in 1995. In addition to Broadway's Come and Gone, she also has credits for Drowning Crow and Seeking the Genesis. When it comes to film, she is renowned for her role in movies such as Men of Honor The Caveman's Valentine The Express and The Help. On television her regular role in the ABC's crime drama series High Incident has earned her high praise.
